The CWS B5 side compactor for urban waste collection is distinguished by its flexibility and capacity, because it combines the advantages of the roll-off system with the convenience of the side collection system.
The container (CWS body) is hookloader-friendly and can therefore be exchanged thanks to the integrated hooklift. This makes it possible to continuously use the compactor for the typical waste collection function and delegate the transport of the full body to a vehicle equipped with standard roll-off equipment.
This solution is particularly suitable when the waste unloading point is very far from the collection point or in areas subject to high seasonal tourist flows, which therefore do not have constant waste levels throughout the year. In these situations, the journey to empty the compactor would waste a lot of time. With this solution, however, it is possible to use only one vehicle for collection, which, when full, unloads the full compactor and picks up an empty one. The full compactor is transported to the unloading point by a roll-off truck.
