The ABB roll-off compactor is the perfect solution to eject compacted waste, for example when space is tight or it is not possible to lift the skip for emptying; or when working on uneven ground so that the lifted compactor would be unstable. But the ABB compactor is also appreciated in cases where the compacted material struggles to escape by gravity alone, such as with polystyrene or in some cases with special paper and cardboard packaging.

ABB's front-loading single-bladed compactor compacts waste by means of a shovel which, in a top-to-bottom motion, picks up, drags and compacts the waste with a constant force of 40 tonnes and a cycle time of 35 seconds.

The functionality is the same as that of the single-blade compactor, but the compaction system is not anchored to the body of the container but to a hood, a structure hinged on the body: the insertion and expulsion of waste is done from the same side, and it is possible to expel the compacted material even in a horizontal position without tilting the compactor, thanks to the presence of an expulsion system with a mobile blade driven by a multi-wire cylinder that pushes the compacted waste from the bottom of the body towards the outside.

The leakproof design between the hood and the body is guaranteed by a seal on the two side uprights for the entire height and on the lower crossbeam.
